Can you tell me more about your Background?

I did a business school in Montpellier. After that I started as a BDR, and evolved into an Account Executive position in the software industry in Ireland (Dublin) and finally in France (Paris), at Mytraffic.

Why did you decide to join Mytraffic?

I decided to join Mytraffic for the challenge to sell something unique from scratch.

What I really like is the technology itself : being able to measure the mobility of people in the streets and malls in 2 clicks. It was groundbreaking for me, I could not wait to test the platform on my first day, I must say ! Regarding the recruitment process, from Justine (HR) to Gautier (Co-Founder), everything was smooth and people were open minded in the discussions. It sounds cliché but they were full of benevolence and comforted my choice.

Can you describe us, with simple words, your role as an Account Executive at Mytraffic?

As an account executive at Mytraffic, I am at the forefront of demonstrating the benefits of our platform and its technology to french retailers. I talk everyday to C-Level & Director level people like the Real Estate or Retail Director or simply the CEO or Managing Director of retail companies. I am constantly looking for some new leads that could be a good fit with our value proposition, with the help of a Business Development Representative. Then of course I am doing the whole sales cycle up to closing.

What are the main challenges for the Mytraffic French Sales team today?

Keep scaling-up at this speed is definitely our main challenge.

We already convinced the “innovators”, the first people to adopt an innovation on a specific market, to use us. Now, we need to repeat this initial success and confirm our new leader position. Thanks to a new version of the platform and new functionalities, it’s up to us now to penetrate the rest of the addressable market !

So, I would say that another big challenge is carrying on winning new customer logos while mastering our SaaS evolution and its capabilities.

What makes you happy in your Account Executive position at Mytraffic since almost 2 years?

As part of Mytraffic team, many things you do are unique and challenging. In a good way :)

  • The way you price your solution, no one has ever done it before.
  • The way you pitch your solution, same.
  • The way you are going to lead the last marketing webinar to present the last technological development of the platform, same.

At MyTraffic, many things I did were a first for me. You are asked to transpose your experience and hard skills to Mytraffic mission and technology, which is exciting. Being the leader of a new kind of technology with new possibilities for your clients often requires to bring new ideas and solutions :)

Can you tell me more about your development since you joined Mytraffic ?

I really feel I developed my “Thinking out of the box” skills. I feel more comfortable trying new things thanks to the confidence of my manager and colleagues. It’s a critical soft skill I think. And it was only possible thanks to the positive management Mytraffic has developed pushing people to be ambitious.

I also happened to be accountable for the Business Development Representatives onboarding and training. I am keen on coaching and I think, even though still not perfect, I have a better understanding of how to onboard new BDRs now than ever.

Can you share your biggest success at Mytraffic?

I think it’s a deal we won as a team with the Account Executive Responsible for retail in the Netherlands. We collaborated together to make a famous italian make-up brand use MyTraffic platform.

The deal size started to be interesting of course. But more than that, the proof of concept and data we sent to our prospect during the sales cycle was so useful that he used it immediately to resolve one of his current real estate issues. He saved money thanks to our solution immediately on one problematic lease.

When the ROI of your solution is so obvious, you can only be proud of your approach and solution.

What qualities does an Account Executive need to have at Mytraffic to be successful?

- Coachable : Everything is moving fast. You will not find all the solutions alone. You have mind blowing collaborators and managers to talk to at MyTraffic. Make the most of them.

- Consultative : Being truly interested in your clients’ pains and issues. Again, what we offer is quite new. You need to create the bridge between their goals, their pains, some hidden issues, and our solution benefits even more than anywhere else.

- Passion for fast-paced environment : we are not a startup anymore, but the pace has not changed… or yes it did, it goes faster :D

What makes the Account Executive position special at Mytraffic?

What makes this role special at MyTraffic, is how strong and consultative you need to be during demos. For instance, I often have to improvise live with an address or a mall the client is having a performance issue to show him Mytraffic’s value added.

Being a lone wolf is not my thing, I am a team player. My role is deeply related to the other departments. “You win as a team” has never been that true for me. As an example, I might help the product team to design our future functionalities based on my clients’ meeting, needs and feedbacks. I also regularly align with the marketing team to plan a new event or launch a new Linkedin campaign.

How would you sum-up your Mytraffic experience in one sentence?

It is a thrilling quest with joyful and ambitious people. Yeah it sounds ridiculous and childish on purpose :) We are working hard but in a funny and healthy environment.

If you could speak to future Mytraffic candidates, what would you say?

Challenge us as much as we will challenge you ! It’s still just the beginning of our scale-up phase. Any people and ideas that will help us go big is welcome.
